Adding adCenter Analytics tracking script

In order to have an idea of the traffic to my blog, I want to use a web analytics tool to capture and report the relevant data. I already figured out how to instrument my blog using adCenter Analytics.

Just repeated the same exercise for this blog to add the tracking script, and I am done in under 2 minutes. I should be seeing data reported in a few hours.

The accidental blog

In the course of trying to set up my first blog at blogger / blogspot (which one is it? Blogger or Blogspot? Or Google?) I accidentally hit enter, and boom - I had a new blog before I finally decided on the URL I wanted to use. Instead of deleting the blog I had created right away, I decided to keep it and create one more. So there you go, now I have two blogs instead of one:

I don't anticipate that I will have the time, energy and resourcefulness to fill up two blogs (since I have a day job which keeps me busy all day and sometimes a little more) (not to mention a loving wife and kids). So more likely than not, one of them is going to die. Well, I'll let it die a natural death.

Another Brick in the Wall

I finally decided it was time for the world to get yet another blog. So I upped and created this new blog (and another one) at blogspot.com.

Setting up - it was a smooth and almost painless experience, except the part where you get to pick a unique URL for your blog. Which is no fault of blogspot of course, unless you blame blogger for going and making it too successful which is why everyone and their mother has a blog on blogger/blogspot.com, and consequently, most of the urls I could think of were already taken.

Nevertheless, after tickling the gray cells for a while, I managed to find something I would remember which was not yet taken.

So here goes the first post, created in my favorite blogging tool, Windows Live Writer.
